Join us on an adventure to the historic Texas state capitol building in the heart of downtown Austin.
Hop on a transit adventure and enjoy the magnificent architecture, history, and beauty of our state's capitol building - not to mention a free lunch. It’s the perfect chance to meet new people, learn the transit ropes, and treat yourself during the semester.
👟 Heads up: We’ll be doing plenty of walking, so comfy shoes and cool clothing are a must!
🎟️ Registration required — make sure to sign up, fill out the survey, and meet us in the lobby of the student union building. We ask that you please read the survey questions carefully and write thorough responses.
Group 1 Itinerary
ARRIVAL
- 11:15 am: Arrive at Huston-Tillotson student union building
- 11:15 am: Check in with your Mobility Camp host
- 11:25 am: Walk to the 7th/Chicon – Stop #5119 (4 minutes)
- 11:35 am: Board Metrobus 4 towards Mopac WB (8-minutes)
- 11:44 am: Exit the bus at 104 8th/Congress (pull cord at 8th & San Jacinto)
- 11:44 am: Walk to 1100 Congress Ave (The Capitol) (8 minutes)
- 11:52 pm: Arrive at 1100 Congress Ave (The Capitol)
- 11:52-12:10 pm: Tour grounds of Texas capitol and group photo
- 12:15 pm-1:00 pm: Tour the Texas Capitol
- 1:00 pm: Walk to Chipotle (8 minutes)
- 1:08 pm-2:05 pm: Enjoy lunch
RETURN TRIP
We will accompany you back to Huston-Tillotson
- 2:05 pm: Walk to 115 7th/Colorado – Stop #6314 (3 minutes)
- 2:10 pm: Board MetroBus 4 towards Shady EB (8 minutes)
- 2:28 pm: Exit the bus at Chicon/East 7th stop (pull the cord at 7th & Chalmers)
- 2:28 pm: Walk back to Huston Tillotson (5 minutes)
- 2:33 pm: Arrive at HT

- 11:40 am: Board the Metrobus 2 toward Eastside Bus Plaza SB (8 minutes)
- 11:50 am: Exit the bus at 104 8th /Congress (pull cord at 8th & San Jacinto)
- 11:50 am: Walk to Chipotle (1 minute)
- 11:51 am-1:00pm: Enjoy lunch
- 1:00 pm: Walk to 1100 Congress Ave (The Capitol) (8 minutes)
- 1:08 pm: Arrive at 1100 Congress Ave (The Capitol)
- 1:10-1:30pm: Tour Capitol Grounds and group photo
- 1:45-2:30 pm: Tour the Texas Capitol
RETURN TRIP
